Registered licensed clinical social workers are registered with the Ontario College Of Social Workers to practice in Ontario. License clinical social workers focus on the assessment,diagnosis,treatment and prevention of mental health issues,emotional, and behavioral disturbances impacting patients. LCSW's work as part of a primary health care team providing evidence-based,client-centred counselling,therapy and supports.Individual, group and family therapy treatment modalities.Working in primary care facilities,LCSW's often work as mental health therapists focused on treating complex mental illness,social and emotional issues,and other altered states behaviours.

LCSW provide culturally sensitive mental health services to patients by providing assessments,referrals and follow -up appointments. LCSWs develop car and implementing therapeutic treatment plans in strength-based model in nurse practitioner led clinics.They facilitate individual,group and family therapy as common treatment modalities.
They also use computers further assess cognitive and physical fuctions in wide range of patients.
